When
I was growing up good food and friends were always the center of any celebration.
My lifelong love of cooking began in my mother's kitchen. My mother would cook
dinner every day and it was a mix of Filipino, Chinese and American foods. She
never used recipes when she cooked and I was able pick up that skill. I was always
in the kitchen and I loved to go grocery shopping. In fact one of my favorite
things to do when we visited the Philippines was to go to the "Market".
This market had everything from fresh vegetables to freshly butchered meat. I
like the sights, sounds, and some smells of the market. I have been cooking for
friends and family for over 25 years. This life long love started early and is
still alive and kicking. | |
Since
I have long been passionate about great food, I have always enjoyed preparing
exceptional meals. Although I have an extensive repertoire of recipes, what I
value most is preparing dishes that appeal to my clients' personal tastes. To
update my repertoire, I have taken a variety of culinary classes, and attend various
culinary seminars to keep abreast of the latest culinary trends. I subscribe to
a variety of cooking magazines and collect cookbooks. Although I spent over 10
years in technical support and quality assurance industry, I am finally doing
what I love most...cooking! This is my Mission Statement:
"I enable individuals and families with active and busy lifestyles to
maximize their time and reduce their stress. I accomplish this by doing the weekly
menu planning; grocery shopping, cooking and kitchen clean up. When I leave, the
refrigerator is filled with meals ready to eat, the kitchen will be clean and
the house is filled with tantalizing aromas to tickle your taste buds."
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from San Jose
State University and an Associate Science Degree in Culinary Arts from San Joaquin
Delta College. I am a proud member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and
the American Personal Chef Association. -Chef
